plus they're wasting money on expensive projects that go nowhere
google stadia lasted 2 years and they refunded the sales of every game purchase made on the service, so the little money they made from that is gone
chromebooks are starting to be less favoured by schools (although it's too soon to tell for now)
youtube blocking ad-blockers is a sign that they're low on money and just plugging holes to stay afloat, like what elon did to twitter

i feel like google now is in a similar position as microsoft was in the 90s, and google is aware of it
they aren't buying other companies and burning them like microsoft did but they very very nearly have a monopoly on browsers with chromium, and they're pumping money into firefox so they don't get stopped by the government for having a monopoly on browsers
as soon as their ads stop working, their well of money's going to dry up and then they get hit with the lawsuit

i honestly want to adopt this hunch, but reality seems so fuckin' bleak that i somehow feel that google is still going to be here.. but what do i know? i just need google to go bankrupt and i'll be free.
